Coverage built for concrete contractors
General liability
Third-party injury and property damage claims, including cracking or settling that shows up after the job (completed operations).
Workers' compensation
Required in Utah for businesses with employees, and needed if you hold a DOPL contractor license.
Commercial auto
Pickups, dump trucks, and the trailers you pull, plus hired and non-owned auto.
Contractors equipment
Mixers, power trowels, saws, skid steers, and forms, on the trailer or at the site.
Commercial umbrella
Extra limits above liability and auto when a GC or commercial contract requires them.
Pollution coverage
Concrete washout or runoff claims that a standard general liability policy usually excludes.
Gaps we check on every review
Having a policy and being properly covered are two different things. When we review insurance for concrete contractors, these are the claims we look for first:
- Foundation or flatwork failures that turn into property damage claims years later
- The cost of tearing out and repouring your own work, which liability policies usually exclude
- Washout and runoff claims that run into the pollution exclusion
- Rented equipment that isn't covered while it's in your care

Frequently asked questions
Will my insurance pay to replace a cracked slab I poured?
Usually not the slab itself. General liability typically excludes the cost to fix your own work, but it can respond to damage your work causes to other property. We'll walk you through where those lines are.
What insurance do I need for my Utah contractor license?
Utah's Division of Professional Licensing (DOPL) requires active contractor licenses to keep general liability insurance in force, and workers' compensation if you have employees. Owners without employees may qualify for a waiver. We can help you show the proof DOPL needs.
Can you issue certificates for my general contractor or property manager?
Yes. Once you're insured with us, we handle certificates of insurance and additional insured requests, as allowed by your policy.
I already have insurance. Can you still look at it?
Absolutely. Many contractors call us for a second look before renewal. We'll review what you have and tell you plainly if we see gaps.
